Аннотация. Приведен вывод теоретических уравнений для расчета шага и высоты продольных неровностей винтовых канавок при вихревом нарезании с внешним и внутренним касаниями инструмента. Представлены справочные данные по определению шага и высоты неровностей винтовых канавок при различных условиях вихревого нарезания.

REFERENTS MATERIAL ON WHIRLING CUTTING OF SCREW GROOVES

Abstract. At thread whirling cutters are arranged along the inside of a ring to a predetermined cutting circle diameter calculated from the detail’s data (outer diameter, pitch, lead). The rotating detail combined with the advancement of the longitudinal slide produces the required pitch of the ball screw. The conclusion of the theoretical equations for calculation pitch and height of longitudinal irregularities on screw grooves at thread whirling with external and internal contact are given. The tangential cutting action of the whirling process leaves the tool in contact with the helical ball rolling groove for a much longer time along the arc of the “cutting circle” of the inserts. This allows a smaller chip load, minimizing the risk of deflection, while significantly reducing cycle times. High precision helical ball rolling grooves can be produced from rough stock at high speeds in a single pass. Reference data for determine pitch and height of longitudinal irregularities on screw grooves at different conditions of thread whirling are presented.
